Artist Statement
I am someone who is very interested in work that blends patterns, textures, and storytelling. I find that designs not only have to be visually interesting, but they can be rooted in memory, functionality, and authenticity. I believe that every design holds a certain meaning that may not be relatable to me, but it is a way to uncover a story, or reveal a connection to it. Being able to do so is what fuels my creative process.

When designing, I start sketching my ideas, or look for small details that are often overlooked in everyday life or outside. Whether it's with pencil and paper, or tools like Adobe Illustrator or Procreate, I see each program as a way to translate ideas from the brain into something honest and thoughtful. Even though I am a terrible drawer, this process helps me get closer to the meaning I want to send with my designs. It is better to get the ideas out of the brain so then you can think of more!

I find experimentation is super important when designing. I tend to push ideas, and try new techniques, and challenge my process. I want to keep an open mind to discover unexpected solutions through experimentation. My end goal for my work is for it to feel real and pure, not flawless, but expressive. I want it to be designed with care, meaning and a clear artistic voice.
